Update: Big Girls' Room

We have been busy getting the Big Girls' Room ready for them to move in. Needless to say... they are ready to be in their new room! I'm so very thankful to my sweet family for coming to spend a Saturday working to start the renovations. We definitely couldn't have done it without them!

Jason and my daddy painted all morning, while my mom, sister and I started the sewing process. Allie also helped paint the girls' letters for their names and their bow holders- since they were the wrong colors. We got a lot done that day, and then my mom has spent the past few Wednesdays in Hattiesburg to have a weekly sewing party with me. As of today, we have painted the room, sewn the top of the comforter, made the bedskirt, and painted letters and bow hangers for the walls. Here are a few pics. Remember... #1-it's a work in progress and #2-we're renting our house so there is absolutely nothing I can do about the green shag! :)

Here's what the top of the comforter will look like and the bedskirt. Notice how Layla has already transferred some of her books and toys to her bookshelf on the headboard. She's so excited! :)
