"The Lord is near! Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:5-7
Today is officially the beginning of the 39th week of my pregnancy, and it's safe to say that I'm ready to have this baby! The Lord has been teaching me so much about waiting on Him and how to trust that His timing and His way is best, but it's still not easy to wait. Especially when you're as impatient as I am. And when it's 100 degrees in South Mississippi in July. As ready as I am, I am so thankful that Baby Stella did not decide to come while her daddy was away at Mission Fuge with our Youth group! Thank you Lord for answering that prayer. He made it safely home (after only running out of gas in the church van once) this afternoon and I am one happy girl!
My precious mama came to stay with us this week while he was gone- first off, because I'm a big chicken and don't like being alone and second, just incase Stella came early. We had such a fun week playing with the girls and doing a lot of wedding planning! My sweet baby sister is getting married on August 27th and we're all so very excited!! All of the wedding planning helped me keep my mind off wondering, "Is today going to be Stella's birthday??" :)
My focus this coming week will be to "be anxious for nothing.."
My goals are to...
-spend some sweet time with the Lord praying over this labor and delivery- that it'd be done to His glory and that He can use this experience to draw me closer to Himself
-savor every last minute of our time as a family of four
-devote as much attention as possible to my children- before the two become three
-go on a date with my husband
-continue our nightly family walks around the neighborhood
-prepare a few meals to freeze for quick and easy dinners after the baby is born
-clean my house so well that I don't even have to think about cleaning for a while
I'm still excited about sharing our birth experience with you! Hopefully it will be sooner, rather than later! :)
